Selling prints from Cubee Hive
Cubee licenses the designs for the designers who made them, and your plan is the license. It covers you only while the plan is paid.

Who grants the right to sell
The platform, on the designers' behalf. Cubee Hive licenses the designs for the designers who made them, and the license comes with the plan you pay for rather than with each model. So the plan you are on decides what you may sell.
Where to find it
This section is about the platform's web pages, not its terms, so the terms can't confirm it. We haven't checked it against the live site recently, so treat it as a starting point and check the site yourself.
- Your plan. Cubee's terms tie the license to the plan you pay for, and HiveCommunity and the exclusive catalogues come with different conditions.
- Which catalog a design is in. HiveCommunity designs are royalty-free. Designs in an exclusive catalog carry a royalty on every sale.
- The designer's name on each design. The terms have you credit the designer on every post and listing.
What the labels mean
- HiveCommunity
- The royalty-free library. Cubee's terms give a commercial license to every file in it, with no royalty and no limit on how many sellers hold it.
- An exclusive catalog (HivePlus, HivePro)
- A catalog open to a limited number of sellers. You pay a royalty of 10% of sales, not counting shipping or marketplace fees, reported every month through Cubee's CubeeTrust system.
- Official Cubee Commercial License Holder
- Wording the terms ask you to use at least once on every platform you sell on, as well as crediting the designer.
Worth knowing
- This is the one to watch. Cubee's terms say that when the license ends, making and selling licensed products must stop, and they name physical prints. Prints still on your shelf when you cancel cannot be sold afterwards, so sell them before the plan ends.
- The license is priced per print shop, meaning one production site, and is meant for farms under 50 printers. A larger farm, or shipping a print from one continent to another, needs an extended license.
- On an exclusive catalog you report sales every month, including months with none. The terms say an account can be frozen after three months without a report, and switched to personal use after six months of reporting no sales.
- The license covers physical prints only. Selling or sharing the files is not allowed, and neither is remixing a design without the designer's approval.
What to keep
Terms change, and in a dispute what counts is what you agreed to on the day. Save a copy when you buy, not when someone asks for it.
- Cubee's licensing terms as they read on the day you joined, and each time they change. Cubee or the designer can change a plan's terms, with the change taking effect at the end of a billing period.
- Receipts showing which months your plan covered, since the license lasts only while the plan is active.
- Each design's name, its designer and the catalog it came from.
The authority
This page describes how licensing works here in our own words. It is not a statement of what you are permitted to do, and it does not reproduce anyone's terms. Read the Cubee Hive terms
Cubee's licensing terms say "Updated May 2023", with no day given. The same page carries Cubee's older marketplace terms and privacy policy further down. The plans page names HivePlus and HivePro and says 100 seats a catalog, while the terms still name HiveUnlimited and say 50 sellers. We give both rather than choose.
Licensing confirmed against the platform's own terms on 30 Sept 2026.
