This is McGybeer's own commercial licence, as their terms read when we checked them on 7 Oct 2026. Designers change their terms, so check the current version before you rely on it.

How you get the licence

  • One of three Commercial License subscriptions: Basic, Medium or Steel. They are sold on his own site, and he lists other platforms that carry them.
  • His Loyal Fan tier is not a commercial licence: files downloaded on it are for personal use only.
  • The subscription is the licence, not the files. Designs not included with your tier still have to be bought wherever he sells them.
  • In Russia, commercial licences are sold only through Boosty, through his partner Corntoys.

What it lets you do

  • Selling physical prints of his designs, online and in person, anywhere except Russia.
  • Designs he publishes as McGybeer on MyMiniFactory, Cults3D, Printables, Thangs, Patreon, Creality Cloud and Fab365.

What you must do

  • Your tier must match your monthly profit from his designs: Basic below US$500, Medium from US$500 to US$1,000, Steel US$1,000 or more. This applies to new subscriptions and renewals from 7 September 2026, and being on too low a tier counts as breaking the agreement.
  • Credit McGybeer as the designer, and say that he has authorised you to sell the product.
  • You are responsible for the safety of what you sell, including small parts that could choke a young child. His terms say so in their liability section.

What it does not allow

  • Changing the designs. The right to transform them is not part of the licence.
  • Selling, sharing or passing on the digital files in any form.
  • Transferring your licence to anyone else without his permission.
  • Without a licence, charging friends or family for prints, even just to cover costs. His FAQ counts that as commercial use.

When it ends

  • The agreement ends automatically when your subscription stops being active, and you must then immediately cease all activity concerning his designs. As written, that covers selling prints you have already made, so plan to sell your stock before you cancel.
  • He can change the terms. Changes apply to current subscribers 30 days after he posts them.

What to keep

If anyone ever asks whether you were licensed when you sold a print, these are what answer it. Save them as you go, not when someone asks.

  • Your subscription receipts, showing which months you were subscribed. Your permission lasts only while you are, so this is what proves when you were covered.
  • A copy of the licence terms as they read when you subscribed, and each time they change.
  • Where you got each design you sell, and when.
  • Which tier you were on, and your profit from his designs, if you are ever asked whether the tier was right.

The authority

This page sums up McGybeer's terms in our own words. Their terms are the authority, and where the two differ, theirs win. Read McGybeer's terms

Two documents, both his: the plans page linked here, with its FAQ, and the full License Agreement, revised on 7 September 2026, which that page links to under each Commercial License tier.

Read from their own terms on 7 Oct 2026. Their document was last revised 7 Sept 2026; if that date has moved, so may this page have.
