This is 3DHexes's own commercial license, as their terms read when we checked them on 10 Oct 2026. Designers change their terms, so check the current version before you rely on it.

How you get the license

  • A Commercial License subscription on their Gumroad, paid monthly, every six months or yearly.
  • Or a Perpetual Commercial License for a specific product.
  • The license includes no models. It covers files already in your Gumroad or MyMiniFactory library, bought separately. Files bought on their own website go through Gumroad.
  • After you subscribe they ask for your merchant details: store name, a link to where you sell, an email address, your country and the countries you ship to. The license is validated, and your store listed on their website, once you provide them.

What it lets you do

  • Selling physical 3D prints of their models, while your subscription is active and paid, or for a product you hold a perpetual license for.
  • Advertising with your own photos, and with their renders and photos, credited, for prints you are licensed to sell.

What it does not allow

  • Selling, sharing, trading or distributing the STL files in any form.
  • Changing the files without asking them first.
  • Casting or moulding: resin or metal casting, silicone moulds and injection moulding are all ruled out. The license is for 3D printing only.

When it ends

  • A subscription license lasts only while the subscription is active and paid for. Nothing is said about prints already made, so ask them before you cancel.
  • A perpetual license covers the product it was bought for, and the page sets no end date for it.
  • They can revoke any license for abuse or a breach of the terms, and remove you from their merchant list.

Common questions

Can I sell prints of 3DHexes models?

Yes, with an active Commercial License subscription, or a Perpetual Commercial License for that product.

Does the 3DHexes Commercial License include the files?

No. It covers files already in your Gumroad or MyMiniFactory library, which you buy separately.

Can I cast 3DHexes models in resin?

No. Resin or metal casting, silicone moulds and injection moulding are ruled out. The license is for 3D printing only.

Where they publish

How licensing works on each platform where 3DHexes publishes:

What to keep

If anyone ever asks whether you were licensed when you sold a print, these are what answer it. Save them as you go, not when someone asks.

  • Your subscription receipts, showing which months you were subscribed. Your permission lasts only while you are, so this is what proves when you were covered.
  • The receipt for any Perpetual Commercial License, showing which product it covers.
  • A copy of the license terms as they read when you subscribed, and each time they change.
  • Their confirmation that your license was validated.
  • Where you got each design you sell, and when.

The authority

This page sums up 3DHexes's terms in our own words. Their terms are the authority, and where the two differ, theirs win. Read 3DHexes's terms

Read from the Commercial License product page on their Gumroad, which carries their full Terms of Use for the license.

Read from 3DHexes's own terms on 10 Oct 2026.
