Who grants the right to sell

It can be either, which is unusual. MyMiniFactory's terms make a download non-commercial by default, and commercial use requires a prior arrangement with the company OR with the design's owner. So the answer turns on which of those you actually have.

Where to find it

This section is about the platform's web pages, not its terms, so the terms can't confirm it. We haven't checked it against the live site recently, so treat it as a starting point and check the site yourself.

  • The object page states what the designer permits.
  • Where a designer runs a paid membership, commercial permission is usually attached to that rather than to the individual download.
  • Check whether a commercial grant is per-model or covers everything in a tier — sellers often assume it covers the whole tier when they have only bought one model.

What the labels mean

Personal or hobby use
Printing for yourself. Selling is not included.
A commercial tier or commercial license
Selling is allowed as long as you meet the terms, and very often that means keeping the subscription paid.

Worth knowing

  • Tribe-style memberships bundle many designers' work under one payment. Record which designer each model came from rather than recording the membership once.

What to keep

Terms change, and in a dispute what counts is what you agreed to on the day. Save a copy when you buy, not when someone asks for it.

  • The designer's terms as they read the day you paid.
  • The subscription or purchase receipt, with dates.
  • The object URL and the designer's name.

The authority

This page describes how licensing works here in our own words. It is not a statement of what you are permitted to do, and it does not reproduce anyone's terms. Read the MyMiniFactory terms

Licensing confirmed against the platform's own terms on 12 Sept 2026.
