This is Bearded Printer's own commercial license, as their terms read when we checked them on 10 Oct 2026. Designers change their terms, so check the current version before you rely on it.

How you get the license

  • The Commercial tier on their Patreon. The NEATO BANDITO tier above it carries the same license terms.
  • Their license terms name an "Obsessor" tier in one place and the Commercial tier in another. Their Patreon has no Obsessor tier now, so the Commercial tier is the one to look at.
  • The license covers models you have access to: ones you have bought, and exclusive models from a tier you are still subscribed to.
  • Subscribers get a reseller certificate for selling online or at booths.

What it lets you do

  • Selling printed models made from the files, for models you have access to, while you are subscribed to the Commercial tier.
  • Commercial use up to $50k of revenue a year. Above that, they ask you to contact them about further licensing.

What you must do

  • One clause in their terms, as written, says you may not sell "the digital or 3D printed versions of the Designs", while the tier itself says subscribers may sell printed models. Ask them which applies and keep the reply.

What it does not allow

  • Sharing, distributing or sub-licensing the files.
  • Selling prints of an exclusive model after you leave the tier it came with, unless you buy it.

When it ends

  • Commercial use is only for Commercial tier subscribers, so it ends when your subscription does. Nothing is said about prints already made, so ask them before you cancel.
  • Exclusive models you downloaded through a tier stop counting as models you have access to when you leave that tier, unless you buy them.

Common questions

Can I sell prints of Bearded Printer models?

Yes, while you are subscribed to their Commercial tier on Patreon, for models you have bought or have access to through your tier, up to $50k a year in revenue.

Can I sell Bearded Printer exclusives after I cancel?

No. Exclusive models stop counting as models you have access to when you leave the tier, unless you buy them, and commercial use is for subscribers only.

Is there a revenue limit?

Yes. Commercial use is limited to $50k of revenue a year. Above that, contact them about further licensing.

Where they publish

How licensing works on each platform where Bearded Printer publishes:

What to keep

If anyone ever asks whether you were licensed when you sold a print, these are what answer it. Save them as you go, not when someone asks.

  • Your subscription receipts, showing which months you were subscribed. Your permission lasts only while you are, so this is what proves when you were covered.
  • A copy of the license terms as they read when you subscribed, and each time they change.
  • Your reseller certificate.
  • Receipts for any models you bought, since those stay models you have access to.
  • Where you got each design you sell, and when.

The authority

This page sums up Bearded Printer's terms in our own words. Their terms are the authority, and where the two differ, theirs win. Read Bearded Printer's terms

Read from the tier descriptions on their Patreon membership page, which carry their full 3D Model Terms and Conditions. The same terms say their models are on Printables, Thangs, MakerWorld, Cults3D and Makeronline.

Read from Bearded Printer's own terms on 10 Oct 2026.
